Join Chris Barron as he heads to another hidden gem of the Oceanside Area, Shelly Creek Park.
Located at the very top of Corfield Street you will find this great little park. One side of Corfield the is the open area with the play ground for the kids and grassy areas for a picnic. On the other side is the forested trails along Shelly Creek.
The creek is a tributary to Englishman River, starting on Little Mountain and discharging into the Englishman near the Orange Bridge. Shelly Creek Park protects the last healthy riparian section of the 5.6km long creek. The park is also home to small population of Coastal Cutthroat Trout which will live their entire lives in the small area.
